Planning a college visit? Taking a personal look at a college can help you decide whether or not it's a good fit for you! It's also a great way to show your interest in a specific college. In order for your college day to "count" with attendance you will need to follow the steps outlined below. If you do not follow these steps your visit will be marked as an "absence" and not a "college day" and will count against exemptions.
1. Download and fill out the College Visit Form (or pick up at the attendance office).
2. Turn in a signed copy BEFORE your college visit.
3. Bring back official documentation of your college visit. Official documentation should be on school
letter head. We do not accept shirts, maps, plane tickets, hotel receipts, etc.
4. Juniors and Seniors are allowed two (2) college visits per school year (students are not allowed to
save the visits from their junior year so they can have 4 their seniors year).

College Reps @ AMCHS
Throughout the year, many college representatives come to our campus to visit with students. Check the announcements on the screens throughout the building and during lunch in the cafeteria so you can make an appointment to come visit with those college representatives. Several branches of the military visit our campus as well.
