A&M Consolidated wrestled at Cy Woods HS last night, wrestling both Cy Woods and Bridgeland HS. Tigers defeated Bridgeland 72-12 and beat Cy Woods 45-30. We now have a record of 25-3, 6-0 in district duals!

Region 3 Area 2 Business Professionals of America Results

On Saturday, January 13, 2018, the Business Professionals of America Region 3 Area 2 Leadership Conference was held at A&M Consolidated High School. Thirty-two students qualified to compete at the State Conference in Corpus Christi, TX, on Feb. 28 – Mar 3, 2018; seven students are state alternates. Elections for the Area President were also held on Saturday. Allyson Fisher, a junior, was elected the 2018 Region 3 Area 2 President. Senior Katie Gray is the outgoing president.

Tiger Wrestling competed at the Spartan Hall of Fame Invitational at Seven Lakes HS on 01-13-2018.

Tigers placed third out of 15 teams scoring 134 points. Katy Tompkins won with 178 points. Leonard White 170 was the Tigers lone champion. Mikayla Hodnett 138,Anthony Criscione 113, Alexis Vejar 195 placed second. Nadia Vejar 148, Jackson Parm 182 placed third. Andy Barnett 120, Jacob Sanchez 126, Colton Love 138, Sam Orihuela 152, Jonah Hetland placed third. Mariah Young-Gonzales 165 placed sixth. In JV action: John Harris 106 placed second. Zane Jackson 132, Jackson McGinnis 152, and Mason McDermott 160 placed third. Tyler Truex 113 and Gavin Word 120 placed fourth.

Tiger Wrestling

Tiger wrestling hosted a 10 team dual tournament on Saturday. Tigers went undefeated in pool A and won the championship match against Friendswood HS which won Pool B. Pool A consisted of Rudder, Huntsville, Katy Tompkins, Killeen Ellison, and A&M Consolidated. Pool B consisted of CSHS, Waller, Klein Forest, Friendswood, and Katy Seven Lakes. Tigers beat Friendswood 51-26, Katy Tompkins 51-27,Huntsville 60-15, Rudder 56-21,and Killeen Ellison 70-9. For the season we are now 18-3 and 4-0 in district duals

AMC FFA Places 8th in State

On Friday and Saturday Greenhand FFA members Jackson Lee, Ethan Dobson and Gentry Perry competed in the State FFA Leadership Development Events at Sam Houston State University. They presented in heat one where they placed in the top five teams of the 10 in the heat giving them the opportunity to advance to the top ten on Saturday. They ended up placing 8th out of the 271 teams that completed in the entire LDE.

AMC Wrestling Ram Duals results:

AMC Wrestling competed Friday and Saturday at the Ram Duals at Mayde Creek HS. On Friday we wrestled five duals, winning three and losing two. We beat Richmond Foster 78-6, Clear Creek 42-38, and Cy Springs 69-12. We lost to St. Johns 45-27 and Seven Lakes 48-25. Saturday we wrestled five duals again, winning four and only losing one. We beat Conroe 58-23, Katy Thompkins 63-18, Katy Taylor 42-32, Morton Ranch 42-33. We lost to Clear Creek 41-36.
