TEEX Cyber Innovation Camp

TEEX will be conducting two sessions of the Cyber Innovation Camp this summer. During the camp, students will use Raspberry Pi computers to learn Python programming language, explore electronics, sensors, engineering and cybersecurity. Lunch and snacks will be provided, and students get to keep their Raspberry Pi computers and sensor/electronics kits at the end of the camp.

Game Wars eSports Tournament

The SkillsUSA Information Technology classes have teamed up with the Bryan College Station CVB Sports and Events to bring you an area wide eSport video game tournament. Tennis State Qualifiers

Freshman Henning Schade and Sophomore Joey Tindall Qualify for State in Boys Doubles!!! Henning/Joey were the 4 seed in the tournament and Upset the favorite Lindale 7-5, 5-7, 6-4 in the Semi Finals.

FCCLA "Story Time"

AMCHS FCCLA chapter will host "Story TIme" in our high school library on Saturday, May 12 from 10:00 am - 12:00 noon. FCCLA members will read books dressed in character and also provide some creative arts and crafts to go along with the stories. Please bring your little ones and invite friends!

AMCHS SkillsUSA State Competition Results

Sixty-Three students from AMCHS traveled to Corpus Christi, TX from April 5th – April 8th to compete in the SkillsUSA State Leadership and Skills Conference. The students participated in four days of Leadership and Hands-on Skilled competitions. In addition to the contest, Alex Hilty was elected to the State office and will represent AMCHS as SkillsUSA Texas State Officers for the 2018-2019 school year. The SkillsUSA state event held over 9,500 students and advisors in attendance and also was host to hundreds of Business and Industry volunteers in from all over the nation. AMCHS students competed in 27 events and dominated in almost all categories. 14 students in 6 contests and district leadership qualified to travel to Louisville, KY to compete at the National SkillsUSA Skills and Leadership Conference in June.
