Tiger Robotics advancing to State competition

Though an oversight led to the team bringing a robot that failed the pre-game inspection, our students did not give up. They dismantled their original robot on the side of the playing field and rebuilt it from the parts. Despite missing the first 6 rounds of play, our students came back with a functional robot meeting all competition requirements and advanced to the semi-finals, ending the day in 7th place for robot performance. Their persistence was noticed by the judges and earned them the Founder’s Award for their ingenuity, creativity, and engineering prowess.

Additionally, the difference between our team and the 2nd Place for Large School UIL was 0.8 points. This award recognizes marketing, engineering, presentation skills, gameplay, and the technical notebook. Every single student on our team made a difference on the journey to the State-level competition at the end of this month, so if you teach one of the students on this list, please congratulate them today.
