Tiger Robotics Advancing to State

Tiger Robotics participates in a nation-wide competition called B.E.S.T., which is dedicated to Boosting Engineering, Science, and Technology. Each year, B.E.S.T. presents students with a new robot challenge and students are given six weeks to design, build, and market a fully functioning robot. A regional competition is hosted by a local hub and teams are judged and ranked.

Despite taking a year off, Tiger Robotics competed at the USTEM hub and won the 3rd place BEST and 1st BEST award for 5A schools. For the past 17 years, Tiger Robotics has advanced to the tri-state level competition hosted by the Texas B.E.S.T. association where they competed against the top teams from other hubs. This year, Tiger Robotics is working diligently to prepare both the robot and the marketing team to win big. Tiger Robotics, coached by Patrick Powell, Lauren Porter, Danny Roberts, Elyssa Bell and Michael Slaughter, has strived to honor its commitment to excellence both on and off season.
